Far-ultraviolet imagery was obtained of 10 deg diameter fields by the S far-ultraviolet camera during the Apollo 16 mission. The present discussion is of two high galactic latitude fields, in Grus and Aquarius, in which exposures of up to 30 minutes duration were obtained in the A wavelength range (effective wavelength A), and in which objects as faint as m() = Cited by: 2. The Revised S Catalog of Far-Ultraviolet Objects was compiled from images obtained by the NRL Far-Ultraviolet. Camera/Spectrograph operated on the lunar surface from 21 to 23 April during the Apollo 16 mission. The catalog was prepared by scanning the images on a microdensitometer and recording its output on magnetic tape. Disclaimer: I am not endorsed or helped by NASA, I did this in my own free time. Revised S catalog of far-ultraviolet objects / Thornton Page and George R. Carruthers and Harry M. Heckathorn. The Revised S Catalog differs from the first edition (Page, Carruthers, and Hill, ) in that the brightnesses of all detected objects have been transformed to an absolute scale of UV magnitudes based on instrumental preflight calibrations.
